Scared Of Love

I’ve never had a healthy relationship

Maybe that’s why I’m so scared

Scared to love you

Scared of love itself

Or maybe it’s because

They all put me through hell

Maybe it’s the way you’re good

Maybe it’s because anytime

I saw someone good

They turned out bad

I have a hard time

Finding the red flags

I always see them as kind

It shows that I stay blind

To the way they really are

I assume if they like me

They won’t mess me up this time

I’m scared of you

Or am I scared of me

Scared because it’s hard to see

Who you’ll become

A year from now

Or even a week

Maybe you’ll lose feelings

And I’ll be stuck

In the place we called love

Friend-Zone

Does he like me?

The age old question

The one you’re scared to say

But you’d love to learn

You sit around thinking of

The words he said

Did they mean one thing

Or is he messing with your head

Did he take you on a date

And look at you with a smile

Or did he take you out as friends

After did you feel like running a mile

You go home and keep in touch

But time seems untouched

Are you stuck in the zone

That everyone dreads

Does he think you’ll be better

If you stay as friends

Why are you so scared to ask him

Do you fear he’ll say no

Or do you fear he’ll say yes

And another one will break your soul

Step out of the past and maybe you’ll see

If I like him

Maybe he could like me?

I Love you

Why do you continue to compare yourself

To girls who wish they were happier

Why do you wish you were smaller

When you are so obviously perfect how you are

When will you see yourself the way I see you

You are beautiful the way you are

Your beautiful smile

And gorgeous eyes

Your sweet personality

And mesmerizing style

The way you walk in heels

With all the confidence in the world

But when you get home

You cry over models

You wish you were

Trust me when I say

You were made with beauty and grace

You are perfect without trying

And I can’t help myself from crying

When I hear your begs and pleads

To be society’s version of pretty
